Kristin Zaitz, the co-founder of Mothers for Nuclear delivering a presentation at a Salt Lake City consent-based siting workshop.

Join our friends from Mothers for Nuclear, the Tribal Consent Based Coalition, and North Carolina State University for a unique nuclear energy event in Chicago, Illinois. Meet with environmentalists, tribal leaders, and nuclear experts for a workshop discussing used nuclear fuel, also known as “nuclear waste”.

The workshop, which is kid and family-friendly, is an opportunity to engage in a dialogue about the future of spent nuclear fuel in the United States. The event will include informed presentations and chances to provide feedback to the Department of Energy regarding their nuclear waste policies.

Chicago History Museum will host the event on Saturday, August 24, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
