It's time to Stand Up for Nuclear Energy.

The world's energy system runs largely on fossil fuels, sources that are polluting, dangerous to human health, and carry enormous social and environmental costs. As energy demand continues to rise and energy insecurity deepens, nuclear (a vital solution)  still faces resistance and social stigma that keep it from being recognized globally as the gold standard of clean, reliable energy. That gap has real consequences for our climate, our communities, and our future.

For the last 7 years, Stand Up for Nuclear has grown the international movement, uniting citizens, advocates, and experts to champion nuclear energy as a key to securing our clean, abundant energy future. Spotlighting, equipping, and collaborating with individuals and organizations, we kickstart and catalyze support for nuclear energy. 

Since our formation in 2019, Stand Up for Nuclear has had major successes around the world: 

• Protected nuclear plants from premature closure in California, Illinois, and Belgium 

• Catalyzed and boosted civil society-led movements in Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and Norway

• Supported growing movements in New York, Illinois, Texas, Italy, Germany, the Philippines, Australia, Denmark, Ireland, Brazil, Canada, Slovenia, and Poland

• Inspired the creation of nine new pro-nuclear organizations

• Hosted 350+ pro-nuclear events/actions across 32 different countries 

• Organized Stand Up-affiliated allies to the Triple Nuclear by 2050 initiative at COP28 and New York Climate Week
