Our Norweigan friends at, Klimavenner for Kjernekraft, invite you to a lecture on the future of nuclear power in Sweden! The talk will feature Carl Berglöf, a national nuclear power coordinator for the Swedish government. Carl will give us insight into Sweden's plans to reach the target of two new reactors by 2035, and up to ten new reactors by 2045. He will also explain how nuclear power will enable the electrification of Swedish industry.
Afterward, the mayor of Östhammar municipality, Fabian Sjöberg, will educate how the local population who live near the Forsmark nuclear power plant are positive about the power plant, and how important it is to maintain a good dialogue between the local population and the energy producers. After, Associate Professor and friend of Sweden Jonas Kristiansen Nøland from NTNU and Vice President Corporate Relations Anton Steen from Fortum will be on a panel moderated by Ole Asbjørn Ness. The lecture is open to everyone and is particularly relevant for those interested in technological and natural science issues. But if you are not able to make it, the event will be streamed!
