Hosted by Citizen’s Climate Lobby, come hear from Ryan Pickering who has spent 13 years building thousands of rooftop solar power systems in California. Recently, Ryan has been working with the U.S. Department of Energy, UC Berkeley and grassroots advocacy groups to bring nuclear energy and renewables together in an effort to confidently accelerate the phaseout of fossil fuels.

At this event, Ryan will be reviewing a new report from the U.S. Department of Energy entitled Pathways to Commercial Liftoff: Advanced Nuclear authored by Julie Kozeracki, Jigar Shah and 14 other top minds in Washington DC. Part of the larger Liftoff project launched this year, these landmark reports provide a clear path to decarbonize by 2050 with a cost-competitive buildout.

Attendees will learn about Advanced Nuclear technologies, what American cleantech abundance could look like and how Citizens' Climate Lobby can demand social justice, environmental stewardship and economic opportunities in the process.
